Five Things Friday #3 (Netflix Edition)

Untitled designFor today’s Five Things Friday I thought I’d switch it up a little and share my five favorite shows on Netflix! I’m an avid binge watcher (I watched the third season of OITNB in two days!). I am constantly watching something on Netflix and doing everything I can to catch up!

1. The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt; This show only has one season so it’s super easy to watch, they’re short too! I watched this during finals time to sorta ease all the stress. The show is so funny! I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a good happy show.

2. Friends; I would say Friends is my favorite show ever. And when I heard it was coming to Netflix I got extremely excited. If I don’t know what to watch, I’ll watch Friends. Even though I’ve seen every episode, they never got old!

3. Scandal; I am a huge fan of Shonda Rhimes’ shows. I used Netflix to watch the first two seasons of Scandal, and now they have all of them I think so you can catch up before it returns! This show has proven to do absolutely anything, I’m still shocked and stunned by what happens in it!

4. Grey’s Anatomy; Again, another Shonda show. I recently started Grey’s, I’m on season six currently. But unfortunately, I know what happens. I’m doing everything I can to catch up completely before it comes back in the fall!

5. Orange is the New Black; I love Netflix originals! I started watching OITNB last summer and got hooked. It’s such a good show! I will say, it is a little explicit so depending on your age, you may be a little uncomfortable with some parts of it. But it’s a great show! Did anyone watch season three, thoughts?

Let me know what you’re favorite shows on Netflix are, I love suggestions!

My Everyday Purse

IMG_6832I don’t know about you guys, but I love cross body bags! I would say they are a staple in my closet. They’re so easy to just grab and go, you don’t really have to think about it! This one from Rebecca Minkoff is my favorite! I’ve used this basically everyday since being home from school.

I don’t bring a lot of stuff with me when I go and run errands, just a small wallet, car keys, hand sanitizer, a powder and lipstick. That’s about it! I love cross body bags because you can have free range of movement, you don’t have to worry about having to hold it up or strain your shoulder/crook of your arm!

What’s your favorite purse to use for everyday coming and going?

Tips for Starting a Blog

Tips For

I always find posts with blogging tips super helpful! I am always saving them so I can look back on them whenever I’m having an issue or don’t exactly know the next step to make. I thought that I would share my tips and give any advice that I wish I had when I started blogging at the beginning of the month!

1. Stick to a Schedule; One of the first things I did when I started blogging was create a schedule. I personally post every week day, which I find helps you grow a lot faster. But you can post three times a week (as in MWF) or even two (TThu)! There is no exact schedule to follow, but I find it a lot easier to stay on track when you make one!

2. Organization is Key; This kind of goes with the schedule. I bought a notebook and basically wrote each date I was planning on posting, came up with the idea, and then created check boxes next to it for when the post is written, photographed and then published/scheduled. This way I could write posts days in advance and not have to worry about waiting until the last minute!

3. Look Around Your Room; I tend to do this when I’m running out of ideas. I tend to just look around my room and notice something that I’ve used a lot, so I write it down! I’ve done this a couple times to gain inspiration.

4. Proof Read; This may be the other most important one, because no one wants to read posts that has misspellings or grammar mistakes. I will say I’m not trying to say I’m good at this, because I know I have mistakes in some of my previous posts. But I’m trying to fix that!

Hope these helped! I tried to make this a little different than previous posts similar to this that I’ve read.

Music Monday: Hilary Duff’s “Breathe In. Breathe Out.”

CH4SEgnUEAAM3LqI decided for a new series, I’d share my current music favorites. Whether it be a review of a new album, a playlist, etc. I absolutely love listening to music and thought that this would be a fun series to start! This won’t be an every Monday thing, but occasionally (like the Five Things Friday).

This is what dreams are made of! Please tell me I wasn’t the only one who was super excited to hear Hilary Duff was coming out with a new album? I remember seeing her in concert when I was in fifth grade (around 2005 or 2006)! I absolutely loved her, this has been a much anticipated release! I quickly jumped to Spotify when I saw that it was out. I thought instead of going into a full review of every song, which would just take forever, I thought I’d just share my thoughts on the album. I was wanting to share some of my favorite songs from the album, but I found that I loved all of them, literally all of them!

All of these songs are extremely catchy, and I found myself singing along without even realizing! There are a couple slower songs, which I like. Most of them are pretty poppy but I like it! I find myself listening to this when I’m out running errands because it’s such a summery album!

Have you heard Hilary’s new album?

Love, Kendal
