If you guys read my weekday morning routine, then you know that my favorite part of the morning is my bulletproof coffee. Bulletproof coffee is something that I started to drink last month after seeing Allie Sevdalis and KGMTL talking about it for months.
It’s one of my goals for 2018 to live an overall healthier lifestyle, and to me, I believe that bulletproof coffee starts me off on the right foot in the morning.
One thing that I love about bulletproof coffee is how customizable it is. You can put absolutely whatever you want in it! Some people like to put in extra supplements and such, to target certain aspects of their daily lives that need a little more oomph. (Does that make sense?)
Now, if you’re looking for a background on bulletproof coffee, you can check out this video by KGMTL! Or, if you’re into a more reading mood, you can check out this link from the actual Bulletproof Coffee company (yes, it’s really a company that “created it”!).
To sum it up real quick, “It’s a high-performance drink that has a massive impact on your energy and cognitive function”. I highly recommend reading that post! It gives a full-depth look at bulletproof coffee in the easiest terms to understand.
As I mentioned, bulletproof coffee is completely customizable. I’m going to share my own personal “recipe” or maybe blend is the correct term?
My Bulletproof Coffee Recipe/Blend
Step One: I use my Nespresso to first brew my coffee. I typically use a vanilla flavor or just non-flavored coffee.
Step Two: Once my coffee is brewed, I move it to a larger jar where I mix in my Vital Proteins collagen powder, coconut oil, and ghee. I am using just plain coconut oil instead of XCT/Brain Octane Oil at the moment because I didn’t want to purchase the oil and not use it. But now that I drink bulletproof coffee every morning, I will most likely purchase one or the other.
Step Three: I take my frother and mix it all up! Then I pour it back into my mug and drink it up!
My blend of bulletproof is super simple, but I want to start introducing more things into my recipe! Who knows, maybe I’ll be redoing this in a couple months with an update.
