17 Things I Learned in 2017

With 2018 in full swing (even though it’s just the third…) I am still a little reminiscent of the past year. 2017 was such a big year for me personally, and I learned so many things that I’m bringing with me into 2018.

While I do think resolutions are important, I think it is also important to reflect on the past year and the things you learned. I originally was going to go in depth into everything I learned in 2017, but that would make it an extremely long post. So instead, I thought I would just bold the ones that are extra important to me, and things I’m really bringing with me into the new year!

17 Things I Learned in 2017

+ There’s no time for negative people

+ It’s important to have moments/times to myself

+ Make time for the things you love

+ Stop apologizing for no reason

+ Take chances, even if they’re scary

+ Don’t be afraid to be yourself or put yourself out there

+ Stop caring what other people think

+ Being healthy is important.

+ I don’t have to wear a full face of makeup to feel pretty

+ Routines are important

+ I need to wake up early to be productive

+ Don’t apologize for the things I like to do, watch, etc.

+ It’s always important to treat yourself every now and then

+ Needing to have a ‘good’ cry every now and then is important

+ Always speak your mind

+ Do not bottle things up…

+ Don’t keep your blog a secret!

What are you guys bringing with you in 2018? Or, what did you learn in 2017 that you are cherishing and trying to continue?

I definitely agree that having moments to ourselves is extremely important, especially for introverts! That point about being healthy is also a good reminder. Really great post.
    Have a lovely week! <3

  • Excellent lessons – especially about not bottling things up. I’m still working on that…

    • Don’t worry, so am I!

  • Such great takeaway!!! Cheers to an epic 2018!

  • Love these lessons!! Couldn’t agree more with many of them – especially #1!! An important lesson I learned in my late 20s and I’m glad I put it into action when I did! Happy New Year, Kendal!

  • I love the being healthy is important one because that is SO TRUE. Without health, you have nothing!

  • your third and last point really resonate with me! ^_^
